Senator Marco Rubio is blaming his terrible debate performance last Saturday as being the reason why he finished fifth in last night’s New Hampshire primary election.
“Our disappointment tonight is not on you. It’s on me. It’s on me,” Rubio said in his concession speech. “I did not — I did not do well on Saturday night, so listen to this: That will never happen again.”
I agree that the performance he had will probably “never happen again,” but this is politics we are playing in and anything is possible.
Rubio will be better prepared for the upcoming South Carolina debate and will surely rise in the polls, but is it too late?
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Did Rubio seal his fate when he choked in New Hampshire?
Well, he did and he didn’t.
Rubio was expected to finish in second place but instead finished in a not-so-distant fifth behind Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz.I wouldn’t count Rubio out just yet because South Carolina will probably be friendlier to him- he has created a better ground game there than he had in New Hampshire, and them folks are Bible-toting, God-fearing conservatives that would relate more with Rubio.
“You will see us again because we’re coming back in November to win the general election. And New England: Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, we’ll see you in a few weeks, we’re going to come and win…South Carolina, we are on the way.”
Oh, but let’s not forget about the probable surge that Donald Trump, who won the New Hampshire primary, and Ted Cruz will have after meeting expectations last night.
