Not only are the Marco Rubiobots out in force pushing the whole birther issue against Ted Cruz, but now Donald Trump, the front-running Republican presidential candidate, has gotten into the mix.
A lot of Rubiobots also believe that Cruz is unelectable, and annoys them because they don’t like the way his ears are pointed, or how his voice may sound a bit nasaly.Have they not taken a look at Senator Rubio’s big ole pointy ears?
I can say this about Rubio’s ears because the Senator has in the past joked about how big he thinks they are.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Over this past weekend, Trump went on “Fox News Sunday” to suggest that Cruz should look into and address any and all “eligibility to run” issues that he may have for being born in Canada.
While he hasn’t come out and directly attacked Cruz over being born in Canada to a Cuban citizen father and U.S. citizen mother, Trump has stated that he really doesn’t know if Cruz really is a natural-born citizen.
The U.S. Constitution stipulates that anyone running for President of the United States must be at least 35 years old and a natural-born citizen.“I really don’t know…Does natural born mean born to the land? In that case he’s not. But nobody knows what it means. And … it hasn’t gone to the Supreme Court. I speak well of Ted. I’m only saying that Ted has to get this problem solved because if he’s running against a Democrat, and they bring a lawsuit, he’s got a hell of a thing over his head.”-Donald Trump
Cruz responded:
“The son of a U.S. citizen born abroad is a natural-born citizen…The internet has all sorts of fevered swamp theories.”
Trump brings up the concern that Democrats could file a lawsuit against him, like the one that Rep. Alan Grayson (D), who is currently running for the U.S. Senate in Florida, threatens to file, if Cruz won the 2016 GOP presidential nomination.
According to the RealClearPolitics.com average of all polls, Cruz and Trump are atop the filed of GOP presidential candidate, Trump (34%) is enjoying a significant lead over Cruz and the rest of the field, even as Cruz (21%) continues to climb, and as Senator Marco Rubio(11%) has seemingly plateaued. Is Senator Cruz eligible to become President of the United States, ay?
