Both Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz refer to one another as amigos in the Senate that like each other very much, but on the 2016 Republican presidential campaign trail, that loving feeling seems to have been flushed down the toilet somewhere in Iowa.
I have always contended that the real race within the 2016 GOP presidential primary race would be between Rubio and Cruz, and now that prediction has come to pass. Rubio and Cruz, as well as their supportive Super PAC’s, are dropping bomb after bomb on top of each other, and it does look as if the political sorties are going to stop anytime soon,Rubio says Cruz is week on national intelligence, while Cruz says Rubio is weak on immigration and national security.
Both of these “arroz con pollo” eating compadres are hawkish on these issues (Rubio not so much on immigration),and their conservative bona fides are unquestionable, but with Cruz surging in the polls over Rubio, Team Cruz could be going for Rubio’s political jugular.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Keep the Promise I, a Super PAC supporting Ted Cruz, has just used Rubio’s very own quirking video about debates and fantasy football against him in its latest attack video.
The dramatic video title “Leadership” of points out the growing threat to America from “enemies,” ISIS’ plot to kill Americans, and the refugee crisis before asking this question:
What would Marco Rubio’s leadership look like?Watch the video to get their take on Rubio’s leadership.
And then there is this video that Ted Cruz for President just put out, subtly dinging Rubio on immigration reform.
