Next week President Obama is expected to announce new execution actions on guns. His goal is to expand background checks on gun sales and since he could not get his way through Congress he is taking matters into his own hands. Whether they will be legal or illegal, that is yet to be seen.
As reported by CNN, the executive actions are described as “imminent” and they would fulfill a promise the President made to curb gun deaths.Gun control advocates are expecting the new actions to be announced next week ahead of his annual State of the Union address on January 12.
The White House would not comment on the exact date of the content of his executive orders.

White House spokesman Eric Schultz said Obama was “expressing urgency” for a list of steps he can take on his own after high-profile incidents of gun violence at the end of the year.
Schultz said:
It’s complicated. That’s why it’s taken some time for our policy folks, our lawyers, and our experts to work through this and see what’s possible.
What that means is they want to make sure they will stick and not be challenged in court like most of his other illegal executive actions.
A spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association said the group did not have a comment at this time. They had previously told CNN that Obama’s
gun control agenda was rejected by Congress. Now, he doing what he always does when he doesn’t get his way, defying the will of the people and using executive action.
The group also said Obama had his “wish list of gun control” in California but “it didn’t prevent the San Bernardino attack.”
NRA spokeswoman Jennifer Baker said:The fact is, the President’s gun control agenda will only make it harder for law-abiding citizens to exercise their right to self-defense.
Expect gun sales to increase again.
