In the latest Iowa poll, Ted Cruz has soared above Donald Trump with a 10-point lead.
The Des Moines Register and Bloomberg Politics poll released on Saturday has Cruz at 31% of likely Republican voters in the state. Trump received 21%.Cruz has jumped 21-points since October in the state as reported by CNN.

His strategy has been to win over pastors and their evangelical congregations in the state. It has paid off and on Thursday after the poll was fielded he won over the biggest Christian booster, Bob Vander Plaats. Vander Plaats has endorsed the last two Iowa winners.
Ben Carson dropped to third place in the poll with 13%, Marco Rubio has 10% and Jeb Bush has 6%.
