On Monday President Barack Obama announced new plans to rehabilitate and reintegrate formerly incarcerated citizens in their communities.

In Newark, New Jersey the President is expected to announce his plan to promote and rehabilitate ex-cons. His plan includes $8 million in education grants from Department of Education and tech training and jobs for individuals with a criminal record.

As reported by CNN, Obama wants Congress to “ban the box” on federal job applications the requires job applicants that require job applicants to state if they have a criminal record.

Democrats in Florida tried to pass similar reform last year.  It is very dangerous for not only employers but for their employees as well. Obama is more concerned about the well being of ex cons then he is of those who are law abiding citizens and currently working.
