The band R.E.M. has filed a $2.5 million lawsuit against Donald Trump and Ted Cruz as reported by Fox News. They are suing them because they allege Trump and Cruz failed to get permission to play their hit “It’s the End of the World as We Know It” at an event in front of the Capitol last week.
R.E.M.’s frontman Michael Stipe was outraged. On Twitter he said:Go f–k yourselves, the lot of you — you sad, attention-grabbing, power-hungry little men. Do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign.
He also released a statement on their Facebook page that read:
