Bob Rommel announced he is going to be running for Florida House District 106 on Monday. The seat is currently being held by Kathleen Passidomo. Passidomo announced earlier she is going to run for Florida Senate in 2016.
Rommel is a Naples resident and entrepreneur who says he will run on a platform of fiscal responsibility and pro-growth economics.He said:
I’m a strong believer that government should work for its citizens rather than stand in their way. We need policies that promote job creation in the private sector so that people are free to pursue their dreams. Those are the things I’ll fight for in Tallahassee.

Rommel co-owns and operates three thriving businesses: Bistro 41 and Bayfront Bistro in Fort Myers and Bill’s Olde Tavern in Hamilton, New Jersey.
He was born and raised in New Jersey and he has been living in Naples for over 10 years with his wife Sandra.

In regards to his political experience, currently Rommel is the President of the Caxamabas Republican Club and a member of the Collier County Republican Executive Committee.
