I am losing track of all the back-handed smack downs that Democratic Senate candidate and Rep. Alan Grayson is leveling on his fellow Democratic Senate opponent, Rep. Patrick Murphy.
It seems that Murphy can’t even sneeze without Grayson pouncing on him over recently being a registered Republican and being his father’s political experiment.Grayson has been calling on Murphy to pledge to keep super PACS out of their Senate primary race, this after Murphy’s father funded a super PAC to help defeat former Congressman Allen West in 2012.
Now Grayson, as he always does, is stepping up his ongoing war of words with Murphy in one of his “Alan Grayson Emails” on Tumblr. Grayson says that Murphy is “too afraid” to join him in pledging ” Elizabeth Warren-style People’s Pledge to keep sewer money out of our race for United States Senate.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Here is the email:
One of the problems my colleagues in Washington have is that they’re all bark, no bite. They say they want to protect Social Security and Medicare, help working families, and take our democracy back from Wall Street bankers.
Then, when it’s time to increase Social Security for seniors, cut taxes for the middle class, and overturn Citizens United, they do the opposite, because they can’t afford to lose the sewer money their corporate benefactors give them. That’s Patrick Murphy in a nutshell.
He talks a good game on the issues, but he can’t afford to upset his friends on Wall Street — or his father, who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy Patrick his House seat instead of earning it like I did. That’s why he’s too afraid to join me in an Elizabeth Warren-style People’s Pledge to keep sewer money out of our race for United States Senate.
Flapping his gums about Super PACs won’t make a bit of difference.
It’s time for Patrick Murphy to walk the walk, for once in his life.Courage,
Rep. Alan Grayson
Candidate for U.S. Senate
