Bush has been on the defense for a lot of his campaign. The ironic thing is it is not for what other candidates say about him, it is for things he says. This time he made the Asian community mad by calling them “Asian people.”
He was still in the process of defending his term “anchor babies” when he did it again, he said something offensive. Bush said:What I was talking about was the specific case of fraud being committed where there’s organized efforts and, frankly, it’s more related to Asian people coming into our country, having children in that organized efforts taking advantage of a noble concept which is birthright citizenship.
Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii came out and said Bush should apologize according to CNN. Schatz said Bush should:

Bush is not backing down though. He is defending his statements and is refusing to apologize. His campaign spokeswoman, Kristy Campbell said what he was referring to was the federal investigation into “birth tourism.” She released the following statement:
The next president must have a plan to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. Gov. Bush is the only candidate in the entire presidential field who has presented a serious, conservative, comprehensive reform agenda to fix our broken immigration system.
Bush also said he believes the attacks against him are nothing more than political correctness. He added:
I think we all need to take a step back and chill out a little bit as it relates to political correctness, that somehow you have to be scolded for every time you say something.
