Florida lawmakers renew their push for concealed guns on college campuses. As reported by the Tampa Bay Times, two National Rifle Association-backed proposals did not pass the House and Senate in 2015 but lawmakers filed them again for the legislative series starting in January.
Senator Greg Evers (R-Baker) and Representative Greg Steube (R-Sarasota) introduced SB 68, HB 4001. If passed, it would allow anyone with a concealed carry permit from the state to bring their guns onto college campuses.Evers also introduced SB 72, which would allow school districts to arm a current of former member of the military or law enforcement at schools.

It’s not even safe to go to a movie theater anymore. I think that’s more of a call for folks having self protection.
