The 5th video outing Planned Parenthood of being in the business of selling aborted baby parts has just been released by the Center for Medical Progress.
While the country reels in disgust over Planned Parenthood’s ongoing practice of “brokering” baby body parts for cash, the U.S. Senate has blocked Senator Joni Ernst’s (R-IA) bill to federally defund the organization, leaving the door open for the issue to come up for discussion later on in the 2016 campaign cycle. As expected, the vote was split down political party lines, with Democrats obviously siding with Planned Parenthood, one of their staple campaign cash cows.
According to 2014 Federal Elections Commission reports, Planned Parenthood PAC donated $181,188 to Senate Democrats, and $0 to Republicans.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
As far as the U.S. House of Representatives goes, Planned Parenthood PAC donated $404.907 to House Democrats, and $2823 to Rep. Richard Hannah (R-NY).
One of those recipients of Planned Parenthood PAC’s “tainted” generosity is first-term Congresswoman Gwen Graham (D-FL).
During the 2014 election cycle, Graham received $5500 from the group, and now her 2016 Republican congressional opponent, Mary Thomas, is looking to capitalize on Graham’s “blood money” by asking Graham to return the money in an fundraising email to supporters. Here is an excerpt of Thomas’ fundraising email:
Like you, I have been shocked and appalled by the recent videos blatantly describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted babies for profit. Liberal Gwen Graham is not only standing idly by but also taking money to push the agenda of this organization that profits from the destruction of life in the mother’s womb.
Not only is Rep. Gwen Graham taking blood money from Planned Parenthood, but her voting record is out of touch with North Florida families. Rep. Graham’s gruesome abortion record includes supporting taxpayer funded abortions and late term abortions.
*Voted against HR 7- Prohibition on Taxpayer Funding for Abortion 1.
*Voted against HR 36 – Generally prohibiting abortions after 20 weeks 2.
*Supports federal taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood 3.
*Received over $15,000 in campaign funds from pro-abortion groups 4.
That was stinging.
Another Florida Congressman who has also taken this “blood money” from the Planned Parenthood PAC, is Rep. Patrick Murphy (D), who is not running for re-election to the House, rather he has decided to run for the U.S. Senate in 2016.
Murphy received $10,000 for the Planned Parenthood PAC, and will surely be called out on it from his Republican Senatorial candidates.
Rep. Ron DeSantis (R) is the only Republican Senate candidate in this race to openly come out in opposition to Planned Parenthood, and called for the federally defunding of the group.
The other three pro-Life Republican candidates, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, Todd Wilcox, and Rep. David Jolly, have not publicly denounced Planned Parenthood.Murphy’s Senate run has opened up his Republican-leaning House has created a congressional primary frenzy within both political parties.
Combat veteran and double-amputee Brian Mast has been the only Republican congressional candidate to denounce Planned Parenthood’s “procurement” practices, and has sided with Senator Marco Rubio and Governor Jeb Bush in calling for an immediate investigation into the organization.
Aside from calling the defunding of the group, Mast also called on the Democrat congressional candidates in the race, Melissa McKinlay and Priscilla Taylor, to openly denounce Planned Parenthood.
