On Monday, a U.S. airstrike on an Afghan National Army outpost in eastern Logar province killed eight soldiers and wounded five others as reported by CNN.
Police Chief Mohammed Daud Ahmadi said the airstrike took place at 7:30 a.m. local time.The deaths led U.S. Army General John Campbell to issue a statement saying he regrets lives were lost and he sends his condolences to those affected by the tragedy.

I don’t know why the foreign forced did it. It was a proper army post, and it had a big Afghan flag waving over it, too.
