On Wednesday, Senator and presidential contender Bernie Sanders (VT-I) said the nation should apologize for slavery as reported by The Hill.
Sanders said:As a nation — I don’t think as a president, but as a nation — we have got to apologize for slavery.
He made that comment on Sirus XM’s show The Black Eagle.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Sanders added:
As a nation we have got to apologize for slavery, and of course the president is the leader of the nation.
Obviously nobody in this generation was involved in slavery. But as a nation, slavery is one of the abominations that our country has experienced. There is no excuse — what can we say about it?
It is very interesting Sanders wants the nation to apologize for slavery but he did not say anything about apologizing for prior women and Jewish oppression, taking land from American Indians, mistreatment of different nationalities and currently the war on Christianity. If we are going to apologize for slavery why don’t we apologize for everything?
Personally, my family never owned any slaves but my great, great grandma was an American Indian so 0n her behalf, I want our land back Bernie Sanders!
Obviously, I do not want our land back but you get the point.
