Last week we broke the story about the law that would make it illegal to back your car into your driveway and today there is a new story: a Duval County judge ordered no one can take pictures or recordings at the Duval County Court.
Jacksonville should be renamed the Democratic People’s Republic of Jacksonville if this nonsense keeps up.The order was issued by chief justice, Mark Mahon and it was meant to put major restrictions on protestors but it is affecting everyone who tries to take pictures and video outside the courthouse.
Mahon said the Duval County Courthouse Grounds include: the lawn, sidewalk leading to the courthouse, courthouse steps, perimeter sidewalks on Adams, Duval, Broad, and Pearl streets and the parking garage.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
I guess Mahon forgot the court house and court grounds were not only built with taxpayers monies, they are also maintained with tax payer money.
Sidewalks across from the courthouse are not supposed to be included but officers are preventing people from taking videos or pictures there as well.
On Thursday members from the Photography is Not a Crime group were shooting video outside of the courthouse when JSO officers gave them the judges order and threatened them with criminal contempt of court if they didn’t leave. You can find the judges order here: Order No. 2015-3 Duval County
Below is a video from Photography is Not a Crime which shows the JSO officer telling them to leave the public sidewalk across from the courthouse or they will be arrested:
