It is only a matter of time before all of the niceties and “subtle” political swipes that Senator Rubio and Governor Jeb Bush keep exchanging turn into full-on smack downs of one another.
I don’t care if these two are amigos in arms. This is politics, and to be in politics, you have to have thick skin, and a very special kind of ego to survive. In politics, the nice guy really does finish last.
We all know that Rubio’s “Yesterday is over” campaign remark is aimed at both Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
This said, Bush has countered Rubio by sending out his surrogates to take jabs at the Arepa-loving presidential candidate from West Miami, by saying things like, “The presidency of the United States does not come with training wheels.”
Rubio’s campaign is even going after and chastising suspected Jeb Bush supporters who they feel should be on Team Rubio, or assumed were supportive of Senator Rubio.
This of course is a jab at Rubio’s supposed lack of experience in politics.Que? Lack of experience?
Rubio was first a city commissioner before serving in the Florida State legislature for eight years. Oh, and by the way, he has been in the U.S. Senate for over four years.
Jeb Bush does have that executive experience, after all, he did serve as Governor of Florida for eight years.
Bush has also used his gubernatorial experience to subtly ding his little amigo Marco, telling Fox News Host Sean Hannity that he believes he is “more experienced and qualified and anybody running.”
Jeb then added another little spinning elbow to Marco’s head:“Governors have to make decisions…Senators don’t. They can hide behind their collective body. I wasn’t calling out any particular senator.”
I, like many of you out there, look forward to the inevitable bare-knuckled political MMA cage match between Rubio in Bush.
You know its coming.
