Ultra liberal U.S. Representative Alan Grayson’s (FL-D) ex-wife, Lolita, has filed a court petition to freeze his assets as reported by the Tampa Bay Times.
If she gets her way it could spoil his plans to run for Marco Rubio’s Senate seat and that is partially what she is trying to do.When she filed an amended complaint last month in Orange County Circuit court she did not mention his potential run but she asked the judge to seize his assets until the case is resolved.
Grayson is one of the wealthiest members of Congress with a net worth of close to $26 million.

The amended complaint also asks for a number of things. They included: child support, insurance and for Grayson’s assets to be frozen. The complaint reads:
During the course of the parties’ 29 year relationship, which included their 24 year putative marriage, the parties have accumulated and enormous fortune.
The petitioner is in imminent fear of irreparable harm if the respondent is not stopped or enjoyed from selling, transferring, covering, encumbering and/or dissipating assets to which the petitioner has a claim to.
Grayson’s legal defense is calling the complaint is frivolous and is trying to get it struck down.
