The latest St. Leo University online survey poll of 2016 Republican presidential candidates has Senator Marco Rubio taking a big bite out of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s overall lead.
The poll conducted May 25-31 surveyed 535 adult Floridians, 22% of whom identified themselves as Hispanic, had a margin of error of +/- 4.5%.In a head-to-head, Rubio bests Bush by 2 percentage points.
Rubio’s quick ascension to the top of the field of 2016 presidential hopefuls comes to no surprise to many. Americans are looking for a fresh new face that will inspire and promote that American exceptionalism Rubio has been talking about since running for the U.S. Senate in 2010.
