As reported by POLITICO, Jeb Bush announced Danny Diaz will serve as his campaign manager. Everyone expected David Kochel would be given that roll but I guess Bush wanted to shake things up a bit.
Danny Diaz is a 39-year-old consultant who is known for his aggresive style and Dave Kochel is an operative with a lot of experience in Iowa politics.Interestingly enough, the campaign change came after Bush has been slipping in both national and local polls.
One source said Bush flew to Europe and the final decision came from his top adviser, Sally Bradshaw. She was watching in dismay as Senator Marco Rubio and Scott Walker advanced in the polls. They were also not taking the blows Bush had been in the media due to his early fumbles.

The source told POLITICO:
Another source told POLITICO that Bush’s top political adviser was struggling to control Kochel.Sally and company felt like they were losing the media battle to Walker and Rubio. Last week this decision was made. Kochel found out last week.
Some people see this transition as another blunder for the Bush campaign.Others think it shows Bush is ready to run a bare knuckle campaign.
As for Diaz, people say he has a fierce temper and he ofter uses it against co-workers and reporters covering campaigns he is working on. That part is not a secret.
An adviser to a rival Republican candidate told POLITICO:
I have worked with Danny, and he’s a [expletive] animal. If Danny is capable of transmitting a third of the energy he possesses, it will be a marked improvement over where Jeb had been.
