On Sunday, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (KY-R) forced the expiration of key sections of the Patriot Act.
In the public eye he was trying to get support for his presidential campaign and desperately raise money since to this date no big donors have stepped up to the plate to support his campaign. Behind closed doors fellow Senator’s were giving him some tongue lashing.Indiana Senator Dan Coats’ (IN-R) was the most vocal criticizer of Paul. He said Paul skipped a meeting to discuss the Patriot Act and accused him of lying about the bill to raise money for his campaign.
In an interview Coats said:

In typical Rand Paul fashion, he attacked his fellow senators. He said:
Some of them, I think, secretly want there to be an attack on the United States so they can blame it on me.
