Florida’s Lieutenant Governor, Carlos Lopez-Cantera is all but in the race to replace Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate. As a close friend of Rubio, Lopez-Cantera is seen to be a favorite to replace him.

So far the only other Republican candidate in the race is U.S. Congressman Ron DeSantis.

We ran into Lopez-Cantera on Monday and asked him when he was going to announce he was running for Senate.
