On Monday, Senator Marco Rubio was in Jacksonville at a election rally for Jacksonville mayoral candidate Lenny Curry. Lenny Curry is trying to unseat incumbent Democrat Alvin Brown. This is a very close race. Some are saying the next mayor might only win by 500 or less votes.

Since the election is on Tuesday the rally was a last ditch effort to show solidarity and to get out the vote.

Rubio highlighted Curry’s accomplishments and told a room full of supporters that Jacksonville needs a leader who will not only fight crime but who is an accountant by trade and can get the city’s finances back in order.
