According to The Hill, an expose that was published in the London Review of Books, on Sunday states President Obama lied to Americans about how Osama bin Landen was assassinated.
Seymour M. Hersh authored the piece and based it off of a single source. The source was said to be:a retired senior intelligence official who was knowledgeable about the initial intelligence about bin Laden’s presence in Abottabad.
Hersh said since Obama deceived the American public, the military and intelligence communities had to scramble to corroborate with Obama’s version of events.

It was said Obama’s speech was put together in a rush and that his inaccurate statements would cause chaos in the weeks following.
Hersh claimed the Pakistani government played an active role in approving and implementing the raid on bin Laden’s compound but Obama gave himself all the credit. Obama was also supposed to announce bin Laden was killed by a drone strike rather than during an active Special Forces mission but he changed his mind last minute.According to Hersh:
The fact that there was an agreement with the Pakistanis and no contingency analysis of what was to be disclosed if something went wrong — that wasn’t even discussed.
The report also points out the Obama administration exaggerated when it came to al Qaeda’s threat. The administration said al Qaeda was a bigger threat before bin Laden’s death and that was lie.
