Soon-to-be Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush, has backed his brother George W. Bush’s authorization of the 2006 invasion of Iraq.
In an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, Bush says that “knowing what we know now,” he would have done exactly with his big bro did, if he was Commander-In-Chief at the time.
“I would have,” the Republican answered. “And so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everybody, and so would have almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence that they got.”-Jeb Bush
Bush is absolutely right. Hillary Clinton, and even her hubby, Bill, both said that action needed to be taken to clear Iraq of chemical weapons.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Citing intelligence reports, here is then-Senator Hillary Clinton on the Senate floor in 2002, making the case for the use of military force to address Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD’s) program and stockpiles in Iraq.
Nikki Sanders:
During the same interview Bush said he believes the Republican base will be sold on his immigration position and he plans on reminding voters how opponents have changed their positions on the issue.
When it comes to immigration he said:
Bush also said:I get a sense that a lot of people can be persuaded, to be honest with you.
Do you want people to just bend with the wind, to mirror people’s sentiment, whoever’s in front of you? ‘Oh yes, I used to be for that, but now I’m for this.’ Is that the way we want to elect presidents?
It’s very ironic Bush would say that because he has changed a lot of his positions. Bush is not the conservative Florida governor some remember him as.
