Kimberle Weeks was Flagler County’s Supervisor of Elections until authorities raided her office. In January she resigned midway through her second term.
On Wednesday she found herself charged with 12 felonies. After a six month investigation they found there was probable cause that she illegally recorded the conversations of county and state officials.Each count against her is a third-degree felony. If Weeks is convicted she could face up to 60 years in prison.
She posted the $12,000 bail and has since been released.

Last October the Florida Department of Law Enforcement launched an investigation into her actions. They raided her office, seizing electronic equipment and interviewing n0t only her but members of the county commission and administration as well.
The indictment was made public on Tuesday. They claimed she had allegedly recorded Al Hadeed, the county attorney, Charlie Ericksen, the county commissioner, Melissa Moore-Stens, the county judge, Virginia Smith, Palm Coast’s city clerk and other state officials.
The county found out Weeks was recording their conversations when she played back a conversation between Ericksen and Hadeed during a canvassing board meeting in 2014.Ericksen said:
From the beginning we didn’t appreciate it at all, and we make that known.
