Former Florida Governor and soon-to-be Republican presidential candidate, Jeb Bush, expressed his love and admiration for the Mexican-American community by acknowledging the Cinco de Mayo celebration of Mexico’s defeat of the French army at the “Battle of Puebla” on May 5, 1862 via Twitter.
Bush says that there is a “profound” relationship between the U.S. and Mexico, and that is especially the case for him, as his wife Columba was born in Mexico.Cinco de Mayo is celebrated here in the U.S. by many Americans, simply because it is another excuse to go out and drink cervezas.
¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! https://t.co/WUfH0Ic3qM
