During and after Senator Marco Rubio’s announcement that he would be running for President of the United States in 2016, a large group of pro-amnesty for illegal immigrants supporters surrounded the Miami Freedom Tower to protest Rubio’s support of defunding DACA and DAPA.
DACA and DAPA are programs created by President Obama to facilitate a pathway to citizenship for immigrants who have broken U.S. immigration law, and are currently living in the U.S. illegally.I decided to see what the fuss was all about, and talk to a couple of the protesters about why they were protesting Rubio.
According to the group, Rubio was against the Latino family, because he supported the defunding of these two programs.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
One of these protesters, who we will call Juan, took issue with my use of the term “illegal” instead of his preferred term of “undocumented” when I referenced those illegal immigrants he was protesting for.
His reaction to my question was priceless.
Other pro-amnesty for illegal alien protesters believe that Rubio, who according to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is out of touch with the Hispanic community, is “attacking” Latino families by not supporting DACA and DAPA.Watch how this one activists name Mariana dodges my question of whether it is fair to say that Rubio is against all Latinos families, when not all Latinos support her pro-illegal immigration cause.
Leftists organizations like Presente.org were ready to pounce on Rubio about his support to defund DACA and DAPA
“Marco Rubio has time and time again demonstrated to be willing to throw Latino priority issues under the bus for his political advancement. He has taken for granted our community one too many times. When challenged to pick sides on tough issues impacting our families, he’s always sided with the Tea Party. On immigration, on the environment and climate change, on the minimum wage, on worker protections, and on and on and on, he’s consistently turned his back on us. He should expect the same from Latino voters come election time.” –Arturo Carmona, Presente
I guess the next naturally progressive step to take for these embarrassments to the Hispanics organizations, is to refer to Rubio as an Uncle Juan.
