Earlier this week, Representative Aaron Schock announced he will be resigning at the end of the month and one wonders with the latest news if he knew he was going to get investigated.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has recently began investigating people close to the Representative from Illinois per NewsMax.In addition, a federal grand jury in Illinois has began hearing evidence related to the case. The Office of Congressional Ethics has also started their own investigation but they will be forced to drop the case when Schock formally resigns.
The allegations against the 33-year old Representative are he accepted improper gifts and used official campaign funds for personal reasons. There are also accusations he sought reimbursement for tens of thousands of dollars in mileage which he supposedly did not use.

Schock already has paid back $40,000 for his office expenses and his office said he will be paying back expenses related to the mileage as well.
