It is looking more and more like retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson is going to run for president in 2016. On Monday he launched an exploratory committee.
His campaign chief executive, Terry Giles, told The Wall Street Journal he opened the committee which will allow him to raise money if he does decide to run.
This indicated Carson is following the course to formally announce his bid in the upcoming weeks as long as everything continues to move in the right direction. He has also hired a lot of staff recently which include a national fundraising director.
Last weekend he came in fourth in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s straw poll.
