Per a story published by The Hill hackers who claim to be part of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have hacked into the Twitter account of a military spouse. They released statements on her account threatening military spouses, their children and Michelle Obama.
The hackers referred to themselves as the “Cyber Caliphate” and they tweeted the following messages via the hacked account:While your president and your husband are killing our brothers in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan we’re coming for you.
You think you’re safe but the IS is already here, CyberCaliphate got into your PC and smartphone. . . We know everything about you, your husband and your children and we’re much closer than you can imagine. You’ll see no mercy infidel.

The hacked account is owned by the spouse of a U.S. Marine and while at first shaken by the comments the military community has since banned together and remained strong.
Lori Falkner Volkman, CEO of Trajectory Communications which is a military-focused communications firm had the following to say about the incident:These messages are designed to create fear. But what I’m seeing within the military community is a cementing of resolve. It’s shocking at first, but that quickly turns to solidarity.
