After a successful 2014 mid-term election cycle, where the national grassroots organization Americans For Prosperity spent tens of millions of dollars in their effort to push back and defeat President Obama’s failed economic agenda, the group’s Florida team has announced several key hires and promotions.
According to AFP-FL’s stated director Chris Hudson, the grassroots heavyweights in Florida are gearing up to influence legislation in Florida’s upcoming 2015 legislative session which begins on March 3.“I am excited to see what our recent staff changes and additions will do for the future success of AFP-FL. The two new positions of Policy Analyst and Communications Director will enable us to fight even more policy battles and increase our focus on developing relationships with members of the media across the state… “As the leading grassroots organization in the state we will become even more active in holding our elected officials accountable in order to expand economic freedom and opportunity for all Floridians.”- Florida director Chris Hudson.
Taking the reigns as the groups communications poobah is Andres Malave, who ran AFP’s Southwest and Central Florida regions, and is a connoisseur of Venezuelan arepas.
