Senator Marco Rubio (R) says he is inching closer to announcing whether or not he will run for Presidente of the United States in 2016.
Rubio told NPR that he does not have a definitive announcement “time frame in mind,” but did say that the time to announce his intentions would be “soon.”Rubio acknowledges that he and his mentor, Jeb Bush, who has already announced that he is pondering a run himself, have the same base of support.
This could be a problem for Rubio, as much of the early establishment money is expected to go to Bush, if both men decide to run for president.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The bigger problem that both men will have with the conservative electorate is the fact that they both seem to support amnesty for illegal aliens, or immigrants.
Rubio has back-peddled on immigration reform, first running as a hawk on the issue, then shooting himself in the foot for co-sponsoring the Senate “Gang of Ocho” amnesty-light bill, and now supporting a “piece meal” approach to immigration reform.
Jeb Bush on the other hand has held a steady hand in support of amnesty for illegal immigration. But still, what is Rubio waiting on? His new book? His wife to give him the green light to run?
Regardless, all of this smoke-and-mirrors, press-grabbing media games are getting old.
To quote those Rhodes scholars on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” show, “C’mon Man!”
Step up already, Marco. Dale!
This recent SHARK TANK poll has Rubio crushing Jeb Bush in a head-to-head race.
