The terrorist state of Iran has been given seven more months to continue developing their nuclear weapon program, as the six countries involved in negotiating the nuclear development deal were not able to come to terms with Iran, and extended talks with Iran another seven months to try to get it right.
This is the second time in a year that the countries involved have failed to reach an agreement.Under an interim deal reached by the six powers and Iran a year ago in Geneva, Tehran halted higher level uranium enrichment in exchange for a limited easing of the financial and trade sanctions which have badly hurt its economy, including access to some frozen oil revenues abroad.-UK News
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who is leading the negotiations and has been confident that a deal would be struck, pivoted away from his expressed conference, stating that there were ” some significant points of disagreement” that broke down the talks.

While most see the nuclear development negotiations breakdown and the seven month negotiating extension as a step in wrong direction, Democrats like Senator Barbara Boxer are supportive of the extension.
“I support this extension because it maintains a strong sanctions regime, keeps Iran’s program frozen in place and subject to rigorous inspections, and continues talks toward a peaceful end to Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons, which is in the best interests of America and the world.”-Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA)
I support this extension of the Iran nuclear talks, which maintains a strong sanctions regime & keeps Iran’s program frozen in place.

Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis (FL) is part of the opposition to the extension, saying that this move would only give Iran relief from the imposed sanctions, and give the terrorist state “valuable time to achieve its nuclear goals.”
“A seven month extension for ‘negotiations’ will provide Iran with $4.9 billion in sanctions relief and will give Iran valuable time to achieve its nuclear goals. Iran has cheated on the interim agreement and has refused access to key nuclear facilities. Iran seeks a nuclear weapon, not admission to the diplomatic good graces of the so-called international community. The new Congress should put an end to this charade and enact enhanced sanctions that hold this nefarious regime accountable.”-Rep. Ron DeSantis(R-FL)
