Chris Christie, who just so happens to be New Jersey’s Governor and Chairman of the Republican Governor’s Association (RGA), pointed out today at the RGA meeting in Florida, that Democrats would in the past refer to the Republican Party as a regional party that could couldn’t win elections outside fo the southeast United States, or in the central part of the country.
Christie is right in saying that now its the Democrat Party that is the regional party, and can only boast about having a strong hold on the “left coast,” and in the northeast U.S.Republicans won gubernatorial races in Massachusetts and Maryland, and came close to winning other Democrat-friendly gubernatorial seats.
Can’t blame Chris Christie for chiding natl media for saying GOP=SE “regional party.” Just flashed map at #RGA2014 pic.twitter.com/3upZihrhR6
