After the riots in Ferguson, Missouri that occured as a result of the apparent justified shooting death of Michael Brown, a Chicago-area police department has fired a 17-year veteran for allegedly posting on his Facebook page that Michael Brown’s shooting was a favor to society.
Jason Lentz, the fired Elgin police officer, is alleged to have posted that the Ferguson police officer who shot Brown “did society a favor.”
According to his local police Chief Jeffrey Swoboda, Lentz “explaining that the officer was fired after his recent conduct, which would “undermine the credibility of the city or employees.”
Even if Brown was a criminal thug, and the shooting was justified, do you think that this police officer was out of line with his alleged Facebook post?
