As the night wore on, and it appeared more likely that Florida Governor Rick Scott was going to beat Republican-turned-Independent-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist by 3 percentage points, Crist and his Obama-heavy campaign staff were able to close Scott’s slim lead down to 1 percentage point when all of the precincts in Miami-Dade County finished reporting.
I had predicted several weeks back that if Scott won, that it would be by a margin of 2-5 percentage points. Scott almost made me look like a total genius, but at the last hour and thanks to those yahoos down in Miami, I “missed it by that much”.I predicted @FLGovScott would beat @CharlieCrist by 2-5% – Rick Scott making me look like a genius #sayfie #FlaPol

Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Florida Republicans are relieved that Scott won last night, and so should those Independents and Democrats who voted for Crist.
Much like his political career, a Charlie Crist governorship would have cast a big dark cloud of uncertainty over the sunshine state, as Crist would have undoubtedly reversed many of the job-creating, pro-business, and anti-tax measures Rick Scott had implemented over the past four years. But then again, do we even know what Crist would have done? Considering that he has flip-flopped on every single issue he ever stood for or against, maybe Crist would have governed from the middle, or even the right?
“As you know for me, it’s never really been right vs. left…It’s really been about right vs. wrong.”-Charlie Crist (Miami Herald)
Crist is right in saying that this race to him was about right vs. wrong.
For Crist, it has always been about old Charlie Crist (right) vs. new Charlie Crist (wrong).
Scott’s cabinet, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Agriculture Commissioner Putnam, and CFO Atwater, all crushed their Democrat opponents, while the Florida House picked up more seats, giving Republicans a super majority. The table is set in Tallahassee, and it is looking pretty red.
As Governor Rick Scott would say, “Let’s keep working”.
By the way, what happened to all of those Libertarians that were going to come out and support Wyllie?
