DNC Chair and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is arguably one of the most hated woman in politics today.
Republican activists and supporters, who despise her because of the over-the-top rhetoric she espouses on a daily basis have dobne little to oust her from office. While most, if not all incumbent members of Congress who are seeking re-election are out within their respective congressional districts campaigning, Wasserman Schultz is traveling the country trying to help get Democrats elected.
Wasserman Schultz is obviously not concerned about her re-elected, and why should she, she is facing “crazy Joe” Kaufman in this year’s mid-term election.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Joe Kaufman ran for Congress in 2012 and lost to Karen Harrington in a 5-way Republican primary race. Harrington garnered 51% of the vote, crushing Kaufman and the rest of the field.
Kaufman is also the self proclaimed terrorism expert who once stated that the city of Damascus, Syria should be nuked.
Kaufman poses not threat to Wasserman Schultz. One Wasserman Schultz staffer told the Shark Tank in 2012 that they hoped to face Kaufman, and not Harrington.
Harrington posed a huge threat to Wasserman Schultz by being able to counter the congresswoman’s fundraising prowess, which led to the congresswoman to open up to 4 district campaign offices and expend hundreds of thousands of dollars to defeat Harrington.
Turnout doomed Harrington’s chances of beating Wasserman Schultz, as Republicans stayed home and did not vote for Presidential nominee Mitt Romney, nor U.S. Senate nominee, Connie Mack.
So, don’t expect to see Debbie Wasserman Schultz being forced to sign-wave on street corners leading up to the election, or spend the money on Kaufman she had to spend against Harrington.
Expect Wasserman Schultz to continue raising money for her political party and fellow Democrat candidates, even as there is talk that she will be booted from the DNC after the elections.
