The first debate between Florida Governor Rick Scott and Democrat gubernatorial nominee Charlie Crist is slated for October 15th at Broward College in Davie, Florida, and you can bet your last dollar that Scott will go after Crist over his numerous policy flip-flops and political reinventions of himself.
One point that Crist will most likely get dinged on is his current 10-day “kitchen table” tour, where the former governor is trying to embrace his past campaign slogan, or the Morgan & Morgan law firm slogan, that Crist is “For the people.”Crist said that he was unhappy with the current Public Service Commission, or PSC, leaving many to speculate that he would clean house, if he was elected governor.
Crist said that “those appointees will be picked by me, which’ll kinda be like you pickin ’em.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) was quick to point out that ALL of the members of the current Public Service Commission were appointed or reappointed by Crist himself.
Republicans are all but saying that because of his smooth and personal approach with voters, not to mention the personal relationships Crist has had with reporters, that the press is giving him a pass in “trying to deconstruct what he built.”
MEMBER CRIST’S ROLEEduardo Balbis –Appointed by Crist
Julie Imanuel Brown– Appointed by Crist
Lisa Edgar –Reappointed by Crist
Art Graham –Appointed by Crist
Ronald Brisé –Appointed by Crist
Here is what Crist said about his PSC appointees, courtesy of the RPOF:
• Julie Brown “understands the fairness and judgment that must be exercised”
• Eduardo Balbis‘ “duties overseeing municipal utilities and public works during the past three years have already given him the opportunity to demonstrate his commitment to protecting consumers”
• Lisa Edgar “has served our state well, and I am pleased she will continue to advocate on behalf of the people”
• Art Graham “has a great track record of public service during the past 12 years, and as a councilman, he has already worked to protect utility consumers”
• Ron Brise “Ron is known for his willingness to fight for Floridians, which is exactly what the Public Service Commission should do”
Remember, it’s all about Charlie.
