President Obama addressed the American people this week, assuring them that he now had a plan to defeat the terror group ISIS.
Remember that just the other day, Obama said that he didn’t have a plan to counter ISIS.The President came off strong and confident, but his message of “degrade and ultimately destroy” ISIS was expectedly weak and defeatist.
First off, Obama failed to properly identify ISIS for what they are, a radical Islamic terrorists group. Instead, Obama said that the group “is not Islamic” nor was it an “Islamic state,” simply a terrorist organization.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Then Obama said that ISIS posed a threat to Iraq, Syria, and a “broader Middle East,” but did not yet pose a direct or specific threat to the U.S., adding that he will lead a broad coalition to counter ISIS, which would include Middle East countries.
Seriously, how long do you think these Muslim countries will stay in the fight against their own people, regardless of whether or not they are terrorists?
This is a holy war.As long as Mohammed, Allah, and 74 virgins are part of the mix, Muslims will always back their own against any and all “infidels.”
Obama’s plan of action against ISIS will consist of doing what Clinton did in the Balkans, bomb from 30,000 feet.
After broadening the existing month-long 150 sortie bombing campaign, Obama said that he would send another 475 military advisors (special operators) to Iraq, emphasizing that they would “not have a combat mission.”
Sound like more boots on the ground to me.
What is truly laughable about Obama’s ISIS game-plan is his new found support for those “doctors, farmers, and pharmacists,” who make up the Free Syrian Army.Obama now wants to arm them, and believes that they will be his loyal surrogate army.
Let me just remind you that many of those within the Free Syrian Army ranks are seasoned terrorist fighters who have killed Americans, travelled to Syria to fight the Assad government, and are probably supportive of ISIS.
U.S. military equipment and munitions will fall into the hands of ISIS. Bet on that.
So what are Obama’s detractors saying about his
Now we are going to put our national security trust in surrogate forces? And we’re supposed to send in more trainers for the Iraq Army? Heck, if Obama had supported the generals on the ground and fought to leave a residual force in Iraq, we would have had the trainers there and wouldn’t be in this position! So now we have to go back in because of his ideological intransigence and “redo” it all over again and try to rebuild the relationships, which have now been broken — as many Sunni tribesmen have enjoined ISIS.And to state that ISIS is not Islamic? You have to be kidding me. ISIS stands for, first word, “Islamic.” Obama continues to deny and refuse to define the enemy, and that folks is not helpful.-Allen West (ABW)
“To defeat ISIS and keep America safe, we should not seek to create more Yemens or Somalias. Instead, we need a Commander in Chief who articulates a specific military objective tethered directly to defending U.S. national security. We did not see that tonight.
“We should destroy ISIS altogether, using overwhelming airpower to ensure they cannot bring jihad to America.
“We should also secure our Southern border, so it is not vulnerable to terrorist infiltration, and pass the legislation that I have introduced to strip any U.S. citizens who choose to fight with ISIS of their citizenship. No ISIS terrorist should be able to return to America with a U.S. passport.“Moreover, it is extremely unwise to suggest a U.S. strategy be contingent on any kind of broad coalition building or political reconciliation in Iraq or Syria. To conduct this mission effectively, the United States government—with the consent of Congress—should making executing its mission the critical priority.-Sen. Ted Cruz (R)
