President Obama’s much anticipated speech to the nation about his plans for combating ISIS will outline the broadening of the existing military air campaign against the terror group.
In hopes that he will be able to garner support from Syria’s neighbors in the region, nudging them to follow his lead, Obama is expected to ask Congress for their blessing or authorization to arm the “more moderate elements of the Syrian opposition,” but won’t be asking them to authorized U.S. military action against ISIS.Several Arab nations have expressed support of arming anti-Assad rebels fighting in Syria.
Are their really any “moderate elements” in the Middle East that would not eventually turn against the U.S.?
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Because the President Obama does not have to get initital congressional approval to defend U.S. interests, I commend him for finally putting the big boy military pants and looking to squash ISIS.
Let’s see just how far Obama is willing to take the fight to ISIS and all other Islamist groups around the world.
