It is being reported that the U.S. has conducted a military operation in Somalia, in which a drone has dropped some ‘love’ on top of the head of the Somali terrorist leader, Amned Abdi Godane.
Abdi Godane leads the al-Shabaab terror gourp, who believe it or not, has joined forces with Al Qaeda.“We are assessing the results of the operation and will provide additional information as and when appropriate,”-Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby
That was the official response from the U.S. government about the operation that is suspected to have killing Godane along with other militants that were caught in the crosshairs.

Is this drone strike in Somalia a new, yet late-to-the-party foreign policy pivot by President Obama?
Probably.
Obama pulled back his drone strike campaign of a couple years ago over the increasing outrage from the international community over the ‘collateral damage’ that was occurring as a result of the strikes.Since the drone strike program was shelved, there has been an uptick in acts of Islamic terrorism and growth throughout Somalia and around the world, especially in the Middle East.
Now amid overwhelming pressure to act against the recent rise of ISIS or ISL in Syria and Iraq, Obama seems to have dusted off his White House ‘joystick,’ and is once again looking to qualm Islamist extremists with the touch of a button.
President Obama should bomb, and bomb often, but this late show of force only projects more indecisiveness and weakness around the world.
