Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Representative Ron DeSantis (R-FL) have teamed up to help “seasoned citizens” enjoy their golden years without having to pay that 12.4% payroll tax, when they reach 65 years of age.
DeSantis has just introduced his “The Let Seniors Work Act,” which aside from eliminating the payroll tax, also repeals the Retirement Earnings Test.Expect DeSantis to get smothered by hugs and kissed from all the little old ladies that will surely be attending his congressional constituent events.

The Let Seniors Work Act will empower seniors by giving them the freedom to remain in the workforce without being subject to counterproductive penalties. “There are currently too many perverse disincentives for healthy and hard-working seniors to leave the workforce instead of staying in it to the benefit of our economy,” Rubio said. “We need to make sure that seniors can keep working if they so choose without being hit by de facto financial penalties.
