According to the Hollywood media rag TMZ, Sarah Palin was issued a speeding ticket last Wednesday in her home town of Wasilla, Alaska.
TMZ says that Palin was driving 63 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone.When TMZ asked her about the incident, Palin addressed her speeding as only Palin would.

In addition, Palin told TMZ that “it wasn’t entirely her fault because she was listening to Sammy Hagar’s “I Can’t Drive 55” on the radio while she was driving.”
I think I am going to try the Sammy Hagar defense the next time I get pulled over.
