Their claims of having caped “brothers” working in law enforcement may have been confirmed, as three Fruitland, Florida police officers have been outed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) as being Klansmen.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement last week released a report saying Fruitland Park Deputy Chief David Borst and Officer George Hunnewell were Klan members. Borst denies being a member.

Borst resigned and Hunnewell was fired last week. A third Fruitland Park officer resigned in 2010 after his Klan ties became public.

It is safe to say that these “caped crusaders” of the American racist movement will no longer be patrolling the streets.
