Charlie Crist will probably seek the endorsement of the “crafty” AFL-CIO union, again, as the group prepares to roll out their list of union endorsed candidates for the 2014 election cycle.
Back in 2010 U.S. Senate, when Crist found his “Independent” streak and left the Republican Party in hopes to beat now-Senator Marco Rubio in that years historic Senate race, Crist groveled to the union for their endorsement, which was ultimately awarded to Democrat senatorial candidate, Kendrick Meek.“I’m here for several reasons. I am here to learn, I am here to listen and I am here to show respect. There’s not enough of that happening right now in government and politics,” Crist said in a soft, humble tone. “I want your help, I want your vote, I want your support, I want your endorsement and I am asking for it.”-Charlie Crist addressing AFL-CIO in 2010.
How did the union’s Florida president, Mike Williams feel about the moment he introduced Crist to the group?

The union’s Florida president, Mike Williams, admitted when he introduced Crist that he thought someone was playing a joke on him when the governor asked to appear before the group as it decided on endorsements. Williams said the agenda had already been set.”
Let’s go back to Crist’s address to the union folk, where the ever-evolving politician stated the obvious.
“You may or may not know this, but I am not a Republican or Democrat…And that means that come September and October, it’s going to be very lonely for me in terms of support from a political party. Very lonely. But that’s OK, because for me it’s about people, it’s not about party.”
Now Crist has shaken that “it’s not about party” mindset, and is running for governor of Florida a that Democrat he said he wasn’t.
For a good laugh, watch this priceless video from Crist 2010 Senate campaign race. During a Teamster’s and Plumbers and Pipefitters Union picnic in Tampa, Florida, Crist is seen refusing to inject himself into a real-time battery of a reporter by teamsters. That reporter was yours truly.
The teamsters also knocked down a young lady, who was alleged to be Rubio’s “tracker” at the event.
Watch Crist as he acknowledges the assault, but says or does nothing to break up the assault. Also, look at the expression on Tampa Bay Times reporter Adam Smith, as the assault took place directly behind him.
