Shark Tank Special Investigative Series
By Special KIt seems the more digging done into Alan Grayson’s personal, business, and political background – the more evidence emerges of the “Congressman with Guts” serial hypocrisy.
While Congressman Grayson claims to be a champion of the Middle Class – he has used very little of his massive wealth to create jobs at home.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Even worse, he invests his money in corporations that engage in outsourcing and creating jobs overseas. The Congressman pretends to be an environmentally conscious representative – and sits on the Subcommittee on the Environment in the House, often railing against large oil corporations – yet invests hundreds of thousands of dollars in offshore drilling corporations based in Brazil and Russia.
Why, you may ask? Because these investments have helped the Congressman accumulate a portion of his massive wealth, environment be damned. In 2009, Grayson was rated the 11th wealthiest member of Congress by RollCall.com.
On the Congressman’s Facebook Page, Grayson proclaims that, “I don’t know why…we let corporations take their wealth and try to buy and sell elected officials, to hire flunkies to do their bidding and to get rid of the ones who do the public’s bidding”.With such a bold statement coming from Grayson, you would expect him to not accept contributions from corporations…but, you would be wrong.
The man who rails against corporations’ political donations and influences has accepted nearly $25,000 from large corporations. This, yet another feather in the hat of Grayson’s hypocrisy. Here is the breakdown of corporations buying Grayson.
Seaworld 1,000
National Association of Realtors 1,000
Wyndham Corporation 2,500
AT&T Corporation 3,000
Comcast Corporation 1,000
Tupperware Corporation 2,500
Florida Sugarcane League 1,000
Lockheed Martin 3,000
Cash America 5,000
Carrington Law Firm 1,000
Among many others
Since his election in 2012, the House has been in session for 197 days (and counting). With so much money being spent to hire Grayson as a corporate “flunky”, his going rate seems relatively cheap – 12.80 an hour.
