Republican Party of Florida’s (RPOF) recent “Ran Away Part 2” video hit against Republican-turned-Independent-turned Democrat Charlie Crist is priceless in so many ways.
The video is based on an 2009 St. Petersburg Times interview with Crist’s current advisor, Democrat operative Steve Schale, who according to the Miami Herald, was “allied” with then-former Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Dan Gelber, before dropping out of the race and backing the eventual Democrat Party nominee, Kendrick Meek.I love the idea of a match up with Crist. I’d love to have a good debate in the state about where we’ve been and where we need to go, and leadership Governor Crist has provided…Double-digit unemployment in the state, basically no growth, education system hardly no changes at all…This state and this country deserve real leadership, and it’s kind of hard to argue that when it comes to leadership or no leadership, Governor Crist has chosen the most politically expedient route.-Steve Schale, Crist advisor
Flip flop alert! Stop right there for one minuto! (Minuto = minute in Espanol)
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
First of all, Schale sounds more like a Rubio or Meek advisor talking down Crist’s dismal performance as Florida’s Governor.
Fast forward a few years, and now Schale thinks Crist is the best since sliced political bread. I guess money really does talk in politics.
Then there is Schale old boss, Gelber, who is supporting Crist’s gubernatorial campaign against Rick Scott, but not before agreeing with Schale that Crist really sucked as governor of Florida. At least we can say that Charlie Crist is consistent with his inconsistencies, and surrounds himself with inconsistent and fearless flip-flopping Democrat operatives and supporters.
I wonder if the Steve Schale of 2009 would have agreed with Senator Marco Rubio’s recent smack down of Charlie?
Watch the video below.I think it’s ridiculous and silly. Two points I would make. First of all, I’m even cautious to even dignify that with a serious response. My prediction is by the end of this election, even Democrats will be embarrassed that Charlie Crist became a Democrat. If this was in fact how he felt at the time, why didn’t he say it?
Why didn’t he say I’m not running as a Republican because I think the republican party has become what he accuses it of becoming and why didn’t he switch to Democrat? Why did he run as an Independent? Why didn’t he do that at the time? Why did it take him four years to say what he’s saying? It’s just not a serious thing. That’s my second point -Senator Marco Rubio (FOX News, May 7, 2014)
