Gay marriage is once again being force-fed to all Americans, regardless if they support same-sex unions or not.

Just a few years back, gay marriage made it onto the ballot, but Floridians overwhelmingly voted against acknowledging same-sex marriage.

According to the Associated Press, Gildas Dousset filed an appeal in state court Wednesday, saying Florida’s laws barring recognition of out-of-state same-sex marriages are unconstitutional.

Dousset is a student at Florida Atlantic University. He and his spouse legally married in Massachusetts in 2013. Dousset applied for in-state tuition as the spouse of a long-time Florida resident, but he says he was turned down because the school refused to recognize his marriage.
