Remember when the “Fire Breathing Liberal” and former Congressman Robert Wexler from Florida, who really lived in Maryland, endorsed Charlie Crist in the 2010 Senate race?
The Shark Tank video taken of Wexler’s and Crist’s comments during the endorsement news conference in Boca Raton, Florida, didn’t really speak to much then, as much as it does today.Wexler said that he “didn’t break with the Democrat Party,” because he believed his endorsement of Crist “will ultimately benefit the people who believe in principles of the Democrat Party.”
Wexler, who has “never” in his life, “endorsed someone who is not a Democrat,”(technically he still hasn’t since Crist has evolved into a super Democrat) also said that what brought him to the decision to endorse Crist was a talk he had with his 17-year-old son, who told him that he had “no choice” because “he (Crist) has stood for the principles that he (Wexler) stood for.”

Then Crist weighed in.
It’s kinda hard to do these things and cross that line, and God bless the congressman for doing so, because we have an opportunity to work with Democrats, Republicans and Independents –Charlie Crist
Pressed again why he supported Crist over Congressman Kendrick Meek, Wexler said the following:
I believe Govornor Charlie Crist has earned our support, that’s what it’s all about.-Robert Wexler
When asked if he voted for Jim Davis over Crist in the 2006 Gubernatorial election, Wexler dodged answering the question, and reiterated that he has never endorsed anyone that wasn’t a Democrat.
So, Wexler endorsed Crist because he felt Charlie and he stood for the same principles, right, and that Crist stands for the same things Wexler does, including his past congressional votes, right?
Here are just a few of Wexler’s “principled” Democrat votes:
- Voted NO on restricting interstate transport of minors to get abortions. (Apr 2005)

But wait, now that he is a Democrat, does this mean that Crist stands by Wexler’s “principled” votes?
