The latest Quinnipiac poll finds that former Governor Jeb Bush is trouncing Senator Marco Rubio and others in the 2016 Republican presidential primary in Florida.
Gov. Bush leads the Florida Republican primary with 27 percent, followed by U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky with 14 percent, Sen. Rubio at 11 percent, New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie at 7 percent, with 6 percent each for Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Wisconsin U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan. No other candidate tops 4 percent and 16 percent are undecided. –Quinnipiac
I know what you are all going to say, “Rubio is done.” He is not.
Rubio, who is now saying that he is considering a presidential run in 2016, has far higher upside potential than Bush in presidential primary, but will not run against Bush, if Jeb does decides to run for President.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Rubio will not run against Bush, but is making all the necessary moves, and putting all the pieces in place for a run for President, if Jeb Bush decides not to run.
Bush represents yesterday’s GOP, where Rubio (even after that huge immigration reform screw up), along with Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, represents the future of the Republican PartyAnd then there is Hillary Clinton.
The Q poll shows that Clinton is the hands down favorite to win the Democrat nod for President. In a head-to-head, Clinton bests Bush by 9, and Rubio by 12.
Considering the newest revelations in the Benghazi scandal, I suspect Clinton’s poll numbers to suffer, as she will increasingly be scrutinized for her knowledge of the cover up that took place.
